Do you ever need to use more than one of the computers at the same time?

Sounds like you would need a KVM, but answer SS's question first.

no .what i mean is .all i do is turn the one am using off .
now to be able to use the next one i have to disconnect the mouse wireless eye and connect it to the computer i like to use .
i never have 2 computer on at the same time .
for the mouse to work it as to be connected to the computer i be using .
it not that it take time .
it be saving to stand up and pass the cable at the back of my monitor .
the way my pc are set up .two are on my right and one on my left .from my chair i do reach the power button on all 3 .
all i need is a y adapter [usb]so i connect the mouse eye and the y split to each of the 2 main pc

If you are only going to use one PC at a time, get yourself a Bluetooth mouse, and Bluetooth dongles for each PC, if they don't have BT built in. That way the mouse will just work with whichever PC is running, with no messing about needed

Or buy a couple more mice. They start at a mere $10.98 (USD), including shipping.

The KVM switch is still the best idea if you don't want to buy a mouse for each computer. I've never seen or heard of a USB splitter; hubs yes, but not a splitter.
