[RESOLVED] Internet Activity

When there is internet traffic, my old cable modem (motorola SurfBoard) flashes the activity light. Recently, I got a new cable modem (motorola SurfBoard) and it constantly flashes the light even when there is no internet activity. It is supposed to be something about the router and modem are communicating. That is suppose to be normal according to help support and googling the internet.

Anyway, is there a software that monitor the activity when there is internet traffic? I am not asking for it to log but more in the line when something is sending out from computer such as a trojan sending information out or hacker looking in.

I can install a anti-virus but I am really looking for something more in the line of monitoring when there is internet activities.

The network icon in the systray will show you if anything is being sent or received.

I am using Windows 7. But even on Windows XP, are you talking about right clicking on network connection?

I also tried to get this one to work but it does not seems like it is working properly. Not sure if it is me but I see no activity when I surf.
