2.when I try to print a doc the printer shows up in the selection? However, document goes into to queue mode and remains there, I can restart all I want, just will not print. have to cancel.
when I go wireless it does not find any printer?

It would have helped if you posted what the printer brand was.

Train.-
I already have a hard copy of the #19 Dec 2, 2009 posting.
Followed that, alas, no better off.
The Printer is Brother HL2040 Laser (black toner) connected with the PS121V2.
Which works fine under winXP pro. Appears in Printers as "Network Brother HL2040 series".

The 2040 has Win 7 drivers
http://www.brother-usa.com/lp/window...atibility.aspx
And when installing, they should do like my HL-5370DW and find the printer even through the router. Wired that is.
And the user manual, should show you how to set it up.
http://www.brother-usa.com/manuals/d...ModelID=HL2040
So, uninstall the printer, reboot, make sure the printer is on and hooked up normally , then reinstall but watch the applets so you make the right choice vs the lan bit.
