    MAC floppy

I understand that on an Apple MAC computer when you format a floppy disk, you can specify a format called MS-DOS if you want.

What happens if you do NOT choose the MS-DOS format, you choose the native format and you then try to format it again in a Windows XP computer (My Computer) running within an NTFS partition?

What is the error message if any?
Open your mind, not your computer.

Have you by any chance tried this and can tell us what the error message is?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

I had a USB drive that was formatted as Ext4, which I wanted to reformat in Windows. Windows would not even acknowledge that the drive was present - no error messages, it just wouldn't show the drive at all. In the end I had to reformat it from Ubuntu. I wouldn't be at all surprised if exactly the same thing happens with that floppy.
