Wireless printer will not connect to network
I am trying to connect a HP D110 wireless printer to a relative's network. Following the wireless wizard setup, the printer sees the network, however after entering the correct wifi password (WEP 64 bit encryption) the printer is unable to connect. The troubleshooting report from the printer suggests maybe filtering is enabled on the router (which is not the case). The router is a DSL gateway/router from Telus in BC, Canada. The model is a Gigaset SE 567.
Thanks for any suggestions on what the problem might be.

Is SSID broadcast enabled or not? If not, enable it.
Did you check the number of allowed clients in DHCP?
Isn't there at least WPA on that router? WEP is pretty weak.

Thanks for the reply
SSID is enabled.
I don't think I have exceeded the number of allowed clients.
There is WPA-PSK (TKIP and AES). I haven't understood the difference between the various protocols.
I'll try going to WPA-PSK TKIP and see if anything improves.
Thanks again.

If anything, you'd have more luck with TKIP than AES. AES uses stronger encryption, but the hardware has to be compatible.
Unfortunately, that means you would need to change the wifi settings on the other clients as well. At least, WPA uses passphrases instead of those random codes in WEP.

Thanks for the follow up.
I ended up (successfully) getting everything connected with a WEP 64bit setting. Couldn't do it with any other encryption. At least everything is working now.
Thanks
