    Did not work.

BTW... Recently, I just need to get rid of lots of old computer parts. Is there a place to take it to because I just feel it is such a waste to throw all those metal away.

My local authority runs a site where you can take stuff for recycling, including electronic waste. If yours don't have such a facility themselves, I'm sure they could point you in the right direction.

Check google for a recycling company in your area. Here in Salem,OR we have the "Garten foundation" that will take any electronic off your hands for free...
    Stupid question? No such thing!

Thank You. I will look into it. It just feels so weird to throw so much electronic and metal scraps out.

Here were I live, people scrap metal for money. Those who do for computers remove the motherboard and any extra drives, the cables and the plastic front panels, then sell the metal case as scrap metal.

When I get a computer that doesn't work, is very old, I remove all screws and all jumpers and keep those, plus the cables. Never know when you might need an extra screw or two. Or even a jumper.

I was planning to do the same. I wish more people are like you and me.

We live in a world where people go through resources like there is no tomorrow.
