microsoft net frame work update
i guess you have to have microsoft net frame work before you can install the 41 mb win update for framework 4? the laptop was supposed to have all updates installed, but this one will not install and has to be powered down then started in choice of normal or safe?
don't use it?

If i read that right it refers to vista, the issue is on win 7 64 bit home premium, no messages, just doesn't do anything?

media classic is for not for win 7?
i keep just getting the startup when i try to use it after its installed?

I think this is the same update that I was having a lot of problems with:

If so, it is a buggy update. Download the file and install it manually, or try the Vista fix that I linked to in my first post (it works fine in Win7).

I guess you are still talking about NET Framework. Both links (from Train and me) in this post are valid for Win7. See the bottom of mine.

yes that's the one on win 7, my vista machine is not back yet, so don't know about it there

webroot seemed to be the culprit on the win update had to disable it,
apple on quicktime has an error message on 64 bit, not compatible , but i am getting the classic to run
