Resolved [RESOLVED] Windows Live Mail error message

Everytime I click Sync to get new mail, I get the window in the attachment.
I am not aware of any messages that are stuck somewhere (all messages I wanted to send are in the Sent folder and presumably sent). The window gives no way to "fix" anything. Clicking (left or right) on the red X item does nothing but highlight the line.
WLM has no Outbox of which I am aware (?) so there is nothing to be done there.
I have rebooted several times. Nothing in Event Viewer. I have not sent anything with a large attachment.
Any ideas for getting rid of the error message window or getting that email uploaded?

What happens when you click on the Errors tab? That should show some additional details on any errors that might have occurred.

jdc2000--The Errors tab is blank/empty. It actually is the tab that opens when that window first appears. I have to open the Tasks tab to get any info.

And WML does have an Outbox folder. Mine is empty. For some reason it is separate from the other message Storage folders.

Have you tried the Compact Folders function? Make sure you have a backup first.

    Please forget this thread.
I no longer get the error messages.
I went back to WML and, lo and behold, there was an Outbox shortcut in the left panel. When I opened it there was a message link for private.news. I deleted it (in fact the actual message file had already been deleted--only the link existed).
Maybe I am getting soft. I could have sworn there was no Outbox shortcut in the left panel earlier. Or maybe it was my playing around in the WML Storage Folder that put it there.

jdc2000--Thanks for your post. The Errors tab is the one that is open when that window is first opened. It was empty/blank. I had to open the Tasks tab to get the info shown.

Annoyances like this are why I don't like Outlook Express / Windows Mail / Windows Live Mail. They appear and disappear at random far too frequently, and resolving them can be a nightmare.
