Each card will draw 265 watts at full load. Depends what else is in your system.

The figures posted at tom's hardware:
... which means that the consumption of the entire configuration is measured)...
Cheers.

Yep. I did a whoopsie . Found another article that is saying 140w at full load. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_9_Series They are slightly down on the 8800's they replaced.

750 minus 280 [2 X 9800gtx cards] should do the trick nicely.

In any event it won't do any harm to try it and see. If the PC reboots at random intervals then that's a classic sign of the PSU not being powerful enough.

Thanks folks, I got the cards out of the box last night to have a look at them. They are so big that my tv tuner card might have to go. I have a Asus mainboard M3N72-D, Hauppauge tv tuner card, X-fi titanium sound card, amd 9950 black addition X4 cpu, 4 gigs corsair dominator memory (1066) Thermaltake tower, 2xWD raptors, my gfx cards right now are 2 8600gt oc 512 in sli mode. the system runs sweet but i bought these cards for a good price thinking it would be a nice addition before installing Windows 7. I am running Vista Ultimate 32 bit. Want to go to 7 64 bit. I also bought more memory ( 4gigs of corsair dominator same as whats in there) for the Win 7 experience. I need a bigger main board or one that it is layed out so the gfx cards dont interfere with the pci slots. upgrade is on hold till I figure this out. Thanks for all the replies

Yeah, they never really thought it through when it comes to double slot cards in SLI and the board layouts did they? I suppose if it comes to it, you can replace the tuner card with a USB tuner instead though.
