[RESOLVED] Windows 7 won't install
I just built a new PC and bought Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit. When I try to install it as soon as the system does the first reboot I get a message saying that Windows cannot start and there is a corrupt or missing file. I tried to reinstall Windows 5 times now and I get the same error message everytime. Any idea what the problem can be? I have installed windows 7 before without a hitch.

CI.DLL is the file that is missing or corrupt. I am going to try another Windows 7 DVD and see what happens.

Well it looks like the first disc was corrupt, the second disc worked fine. I now have another problem.

Check the surface of the first disk, beleive me, even a finger print on it will cause all kinds of fits like you had.

Yeah I did see a very small scratch on the surface and I wouldn't doubt for a second that it is the problem.
