Resolved [RESOLVED] WATCH TV ON YOUR PC MONITOR

The link I had in my earlier thread(which I have now closed) had a wrong link. This is the correct link as shown in this corrected thread. I apologize for my error.

A couple of years ago fink and I became interested in buying a fairly cheap card that allowed us to install and watch some TV broadcasts on our monitor.
I have bought a couple of applications from the Ashampoo software company. Now they have made available their software for TV watching on your monitor. I do not know who can buy this software but here is the link if you care to investigate: http://www.dtv4pc.com/ash/black/main_nflf/e/index.php
I bought the $19.99 offering for $16 because of a 20% discount, installed the software and the viewing is not too bad. You will find the channels are not as sharp/crisp in full view but in the smaller view, not bad. Just passing this along in case you are interested.

buf--I am sure you know that you can watch lots of TV on the PC by going to many of the major channels' websites, hulu.com for rebroadcasts of shows, etc. without TV tuners or special software.
    How is this different?

Jim, never heard of hulu.com but that isn't unusual. I watch very little TV on my PC but occasionally there may be "something" in particular I want to get tidbits about and I use this installed cheap software. Otherwise, I turn on a 32" TV sitting 6' from me with a remote. The software that I reported is cheap and so I took it and it is remarkable to be able to watch TV broadcasts around the world. Perhaps I just did it for the excitement of receiving worldwide TV.
Amazing what these machines can do.
