My Preferred XP Resolution Changs at Boot Up
My Dad has XP Home Edition on a Dell. He's 86 so I'm trying to help him.
He has a preferred resolution he likes but when he boots up the resolution setting will change.
Any ideas why this is happening? I use Vista Premium so I can't find a reason.
Thanks,
Mike

try this
start, run, type in "msconfig" click on the tab "startup" see what you have running in the list of programs that's running at bootup.
another thing did your dad download or installed anything before this problem started.
another thing you can think about is trying a "system restore" and set it back to a previous date.

My brother did some research and found a fix on a site. I deleted the site he emailed me. I'll see if he still has the info.
