    Anyone use Readyboost?

With W7 or vista for that matter. I'm trying it with a 1G kingston datatraveller I'm not using for anything else but haven't noticed any difference in anything.. particularly how fast programs load.

I don't really need a boost... my system is very fast and I've got ample ram for what I do, but I was curious to see what Readyboost could/would do. So far not much if anything. I guess it may be more useful for on the edge systems resource-wise.

Readyboost is just for Superfetch/Prefetch data. If you have a fast system, it's just a waste of a flash drive.

I agree, I tried it on Vista, and decided it wasn't worth bothering with - I didn't notice the slightest difference in performance. It might be more effective if you were running on a rig with hardly any RAM though.

ReadyBoost is a cheap and effective way to boost performance of RAM-limited computers. However, the performance benefit is nowhere near what you get from simply installing more RAM.

    Thanks for the input.

Doc.. I'd read those articles already and was not expecting much... I just wanted to hear some personalized opinions from those I know .
