    Performance Information & Tools Scores?

    I’m running Vista Home Premium, SP2, Intel Core Duo 2,13GHz, 232 GB H/D capacity and 2 GB RAM. Also my cable band widths average 10,000 – 12,000 mbps during peak times and right now on DSL Reports shows 22224/02113 mbps at 1:00 AM. My video card is “still” the nVidia GeForce 7600 GS. My monitor is an HD ViewSonic 20” VX 2035WM. My sound card is a Creative SB Audigy that’s about 2 years old.

    My base score in Performance Information & Tools is 4.5. I’ve read some of the links there and my system is running fine.

    What does 4.5 tell me as I can’t find a scale showing low to high for performance?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Processor (calcs. per second) = 5.1
    RAM (memory operations per second) 5.2
    Graphics = 4.5
    Gaming graphics = 4.6
    Primary hard disk (disk data transfer rate) = 5.4

    Under 4.5 is reads "determined by lowest subscore".

    It does say my system can be improved by:
    1. Changing visual settings as I do have them high
    2. System starting slowly which is true. I've gone thru msconfig and have only necessary programs booting but ESET does a pre-scan. I think I can take that pre-scan out.

    Like I mentioned, the system is running fine except a slow boot now because of ESET's pre scan.

    Thanks!
    Mike
