The CCC came installed on the laptop and it has worked fine up until the last couple of days.
I went to install .NET and it told me it was installed but I could repair it, so I did, rebooted and all seems to be fine now. I did not get the CLI error at boot up at least this time.
The other thing I noticed is that is is very slow to boot up or shut down and it has not been this way before. I have only the necessary items checked in the startup menu.
Thanks for the help. Sorry I was not more specific when I asked for help. I know better than to post half info.

There was an update to .NET this month. That's probably what messed up your .NET and CCC.

You are probably right because I downloaded some updates either Sunday or Monday and that is when it messed up. So I just need to not download the update of .NET this time?

I would skip the .NET update and see if everything holds steady.
