    Balloon pop-up upon start up.

I ran both SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware yesterday to remove some unneeded spyware whatever. After doing so I kept getting that balloon pop-up "Windows has blocked some start up programs".

I went online to see if I could fix this myself and of course the instructions were quite easy to follow. However that didn't work. When I select "run blocked program" I get Malwarebytes Anti-Malware as the program windows has blocked.

What I did was to go into msconfig utility and uncheck "Malwarebytes" from Startup. That works now, but it isn't right to have to do it that way. There should be a check box for "Don't show this message or annoy me again when Windows starts". I can't seem to get to that part.

Should I just leave it alone; leave Malwarebytes unchecked? Or can this be fixed the right way. BTW, Malwarebytes will still run with it unchecked in the Sytem config. utility if that needs to be said. Thank you for any help.

Unless you have paid version of MBAM, there is no reason to run it as a startup.
What AV program do you use?

Thanks Broni. I use Avast. Judging by what you said above, I can just leave it alone. Yes, everything is fine, but before everything was checked in the msconfig utility. I don't know why that balloon appeared after running Avast, SUPERAntispyware and MBAM.

As I said, you don't need MBAM to be a startup, but, if anything like that will happen in the future and you know for sure, the program/service is safe, just unblock it through UAC: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/930367
