Printer problem

Hi guys,

My sister has just purchased a Canon Pixma MP560 printer to go with her Acer laptop running Vista. She has achieved a print speed of two and a half minutes for an A4 page of text (mono) This seems ridiculously slow. Also, she cannot find an 'off button'. I don't live close enough to take a look myself. does anyone have any ideas please?

Sounds about right for a 8X10 color print.

Turn the printer off, wait a few seconds and I do mean wait, then unplug the USB cable.
