Loading software into notebook w/o a disk drive

I recently purchased a Acer Aspire notepad and want to install some software which I own. The problem is the software is on a CD and the Acer has no disk drive. Is it possible to copy the software onto a flash drive using my desk-top PC and then load the software into the Acer via a USB port?
    Just wondering,

Most of the time that will work.

Getting an external USB cd/dvd drive will work most of the time too.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.
