Business Backup Options Online
Hi Fellow Doctors,
Just started a new job at a smaller company, with about 15 workstations and an enterprise server with about 500GB of data worth backing up.
We are looking at affordable, easy to use, reliable etc online backup services. From a number of online reviews I have narrowed it down to "HP Upline", "SOS Online" and "Carbonite".
Do any of you have experience with these or even other services and can give me thoughts/comments and insights?
Much appreciated.
Cheers

Before venturing for online backup service(s),
If applicable,
Obtain the company's legal department approval.
Cheers.

Take em for a test drive if you can...
My company uses http://livedrive.com/ and I don't like it at all.
If you want to lease your own server: http://www.theplanet.com/
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

Thanks.
Legal is all set with it, just trying to find the best options. Will take 'livedrive' of the list ;-)

Through more research I learned that many online backup services have issues with exchange servers (which we are just getting installed). I guess the online option might just be better for straight file stuff and maybe home-users.
Looks like we'll be going with a few hot-swapable HD's and take/circulate one offsite every week.
Cheers

After the Microsoft and T-Mobile Sidekick data loss debacle, I'd advise investing in your own on-site backup solution.
