Tearing my hair out!
Hi there,
Following from my previous thread regarding converting mkv to avi, I now have a large avi file with subtitles but would like to fit it onto a 4.7gb dvd.
If I spent as much time doing what I should be doing as I am attempting to reduce the size of this file, I could be making a lot of money!
Why, oh why is it so difficult? My 6.5gb avi plays with VLC, but trying to load it into any converter and I get a 'incompatible format' error message, of something like that.
I am trying Any Converter, AVi2 DVD, Super, and others. Nothing is working. The bottom line is that I am getting too many video programs installed and now I'm confused!
Grateful for some suggestions as to what I am doing wrong?
Many thanks,
Rex

DVDShrink will let you edit video in any way you like. But you first need a program such as Super to change the .avi to .vob files...
Stupid question? No such thing!

Just ask. Bookmark your post for easy reference.

Thanks, I'll give that a try.
I have DVD Shrink and Super and am a fan of both.
