Resolved [RESOLVED] Word 2003 won't create page 2 in new document

I have a computer that has Office 2003 and in Word when you create a new file and fill up page 1 and want to hit Enter to begin on page 2 it doesn't do anything. The cursor remains blinking right there at the bottom of page 1. Very weird. I've never seen this before. Has anyone seen this and found a resolution to this problem?

Did you hit the enter key MANY times?
What happens if you hold down a key for several seconds?

When you click on View - which View are you using and have you tried a different one?
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

I have more info. The cursor does move off of page 1 and goes to page 2, but Word remains on page 1 so you can't see page 2 and beyond. It doesn't matter what view I'm using (Normal, Web, Outline, etc.) either. No matter what I do it seems I can't go beyond page 1 or I can see anything beyond page 1. This happens with every single Word document whether it's one I created or one that's e-mail to me or was created by someone else. Very strange...

I did what you asked and found that nothing happens. The cursor does disappear onto what would be page 2 but I can't actually see it. Weird. I just did a detect and repair and that did nothing.

The problem was that the Word doc's affected were setup using multiple columns. You couldn't see them but that's what was happening. As soon as we opened one of these documents and told Word to use one column the problem was fixed.
