What is the latest...did you get IE8 to work?
Myself, and others, tried IE8 and had some glitches, and just went back to IE7.
Ans still others have chunked the whole IE system and use FireFox, Opera, and even Linux...all of which are safer and quicker than IE. I am slowly trying to wean myself from IE as well...but you know how old habits are....hard to break.
I am using Opera at this moment....it's fast and easy to use...have you tried it yet?

Steve:
You're right on all counts but this particular machine isn't mine. IE8 does work but not consistently and it seems slower. The machine doesn't have SP3 on it yet so I'll try that before going back to IE7.
Thanks

Can you just go back to IE7 for a while until IE8 gets to behaving better? That would eliminate a lot of frustration..and who needs any more frustration in their life... .
I have SP3 and still had a glitch....but you never know...all you can do is try it and see...good luck... .

It seems to be fine after installing SP3 - I'll watch it for a while before going back.
