Is software like this worth using?

The wife and I are on the verge of ditching cable TV and going to over-the-air and internet-available television. All we'd miss at this point is FoxNews and TCM, and they'll be available free somewhere sooner or later. Until now, we've watched shows more or less as we find them at various websites. Do these all-in-one websites really offer anything we don't already have besides the empty wallet?

What Diane doesn't tell you is that out of the 1056 channels they offer only a few dozen are in English or are on line more than 6 minutes each day. Most of the rest are served at really low bitrates from servers that force you to buffer every few minutes (at best).

That torrent stream looks interesting. I've never seen that one before. Looks like it offers many of the same channels that you pay for with the other service. That's another thing Diane doesn't tell you... pretty much all of those channels are free anyway if you know the addresses.

Thanks for the suggestions, everybody. I didn't think we should need to pay for TV software when we could find the programs for free, but I wasn't sure if something besides WMP was needed.
