HP Laptop&IE8
Hello folks, I down loaded IE8 on my laptop and it works fine. But my father also tried to download it and install it and his laptop bit the dust. He is running Vista home premium 64 bit and the laptop is HP. Both laptops are HP but mine is running the 32bit version. His computer will at this point not boot up and when it does it freeze's up. He tried to do a system restore but there apparently no restore point and it would not proceed. At this time he has it booted up in the safe mode and is trying to use the system recovery. It appears at this time that it is doing the recovery. Any thoughts as to what might have caused this to happen. thanks

You got that right, ended up reformating the HD to get it back in order. Like I said in the 1st post IE8 works fine on my laptop but it messed my dads up. The only difference between lap tops is his is running 64 bit I am using 32bit Vista. thanks
