maxthon browser .any good ????

do any one using maxthon browser .i did try it to see what was in .
and there is a lot of stuff in it .
but when i try to set up [use current] in the skin option .i could never get it to work .
any know how to do it .

I like Maxthon, I use it a lot. But one thing that's important to know is that it uses the Internet Explorer engine which isn't as safe to use as Firefox. I'm careful about where I surf to and turn active content off for safety reasons (scripting, activex, etc) except for sites I trust. If you tend to do a lot of surfing and visit lots of new links every day then you'd be better off with Firefox for general use.

Which one are you using version 1 or 2 (maxthon2).

thank .2.1.but after i put the thread on .it seaze on me .i could not even max out .had to shot dowm my pc .then i uninstall it .
i am using firefox 3.5 .
opera 9.6 .
so i guess i will upgrade opera to the new opera 10 and see what new on it .well i know because i did read about all the add on .and i will wait to upgrade firefox .what do you thing about upgrading firefox .i am not to sure about it .

thank you .but they say that some of the theme will not work .
right now am areo fox theme .really nice .

well i did download opera 10 .
i did not like it .because it as the white strip in the toolbar showing you the webb page name or link .
the same as in firefox .
but whit 9.6 you don't get it [white strip ] .i will send you a picture of what i am tallking about .
so now am back with 9.6 .not only that i had to download all my best skin again .it funny that they did not transfer from opera 9.6 to opera 10 ????.
anyway am back with my best setup

No the link i provided is THE LAST VERSION OF MYIE2 (Before the name change to MAXTHON (Version 9.27.68)) and its wonderfull!

I have been using it for years... (Its my favourite)

I have "NO SKIN" selected on MyIE2 (Otherwise it looks disgusting )

now i will send you a picture of my toolbar with a picture .
now o like to know how to save it as my openning page what i open maxthon .
i do have set up in firefox and opera with no problem .
but cant not save it in maxthon .
in firefox and opera .i go [tool] [option] [general] [then [use current ]
but in maxthon i cant not click on [use current] because it white .it not avalable to click on it .
if you don't know what i mean i will send you a picture of it .

It's because one of your security programs is locking the homepage so it can't be hijacked. I'm not sure which one offhand because I don't have SAS or Defender installed for me to look but you could bypass each one for a minute and try again.. or look in each of the scanners settings and see if there's a specific item you can uncheck to allow the homepage change (probably is).
