Fake!!
Do you believe, your computer is infected?
If so.....

NOTE. If any of the programs listed below refuse to run, try renaming executive file to something else; for instance, rename hijackthis.exe to screw_you.exe
1. Download SUPERAntiSpyware Free for Home Users:
http://www.superantispyware.com/
* Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
* An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
* If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and unzip them from here: http://www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html.)
* Close SUPERAntiSpyware.
PHYSICALLY DISCONNECT FROM THE INTERNET
Restart computer in Safe Mode.
To enter Safe Mode, restart computer, and keep tapping F8 key, until menu appears; select Safe Mode; you'll see "Safe Mode" in all four corners of your screen

* After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click OK.
* Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click Next.
* A notification will appear that Quarantine and Removal is Complete. Click OK and then click the Finish button to return to the main menu.
* If asked if you want to reboot, click Yes.
* To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
- Click Preferences, then click the Statistics/Logs tab.

I'd keep Spywareblaster, and get rid of Spybot.
This is my work PC so some Programs will be on this computer compared to a laptop used for home.
I'm not sure, if I understand what you're saying.
Are you familiar with this?
C:\Program Files\Eds\EmfInv\emfinv.exe
Are you required to you proxies:
R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings,ProxyServer = internet2.can.eds.com:8080

This is the laptop I use at work. So there are COE Programs that are loaded on our PC's compared to a personal PC that's used just at home. I work for EDS which has been bought out by HP, but that may just be a coincedence with the eds directory, and yes we use the proxy while at work logged into the server.
I don't know what C:\Program Files\Eds\EmfInv\emfinv.exe is and have found links on the net with others who have run HijackThis.
I do see EdsEncryptionMonitor.exe in that directory too. We do use encriyption but it's called Pointsec. Also there's a bios.txt and smbios.exe file in that dir too.
I'll check with someone else at work and see if they have that dir. If they don't, what's the best way to remove it?
I did see this http://www.prevx.com/filenames/10897...FINV2EEXE.html
Is there anything I need to delete from the HijackThis Program list of files?

I think, I have enough info to proceed. Thank you.
We'll leave this entry:
C:\Program Files\Eds\EmfInv\emfinv.exe
alone, for now, until you check this issue with co-workers.
*** Disable TeaTimer, as it'll interfere with the cleaning process:
Right click Spybot's TeaTimer System Tray Icon.
Click Exit Spybot-S&D Resident.
TeaTimer closes.
1. Print this post out, since you won't have an access to it, at some point.
2. Close all windows, except for HijackThis.
3. Put a checkmark next to the following HijackThis entries (some entries will be checkmarked to disable unnecessary startups; in those cases [marked with *], no actual program will be removed):

4. Click on Fix checked button.
5. Restart computer in Safe Mode (keep tapping F8 key, when your computer starts, until menu appears)
6. Open Windows Explorer. Go Tools>Folder Options>View tab, put a checkmark next to Show hidden files, and folders.
7. Delete following files/folders (if present):
- prunnet.exe file from C:\WINDOWS\system32
- search your computer for nknisu.dll, fwtjhe.dll files; delete all instances, if found
8. Restart in Normal Mode.
9. Post new HijackThis log.

O6, most likely came from Spybot. Since Spybot is gone, you can "fix" O6, as well.
Other than that, all good
We'll run last step, so no bad guys leftovers are present, and you, please, report back with your findings about Eds thingy, so we can deal with these two:
- O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [EMFINV] C:\Program Files\Eds\EmfInv\emfinv.exe
- O23 - Service: EDS Logon2 Service (Logon2Service) - Electronic Data Systems - C:\EDSLogon\Service\Logon2Service.exe
For now....
Your computer is clean
1. Download, and install CCleaner: http://www.ccleaner.com/download/builds. Get "Slim" version.
Read CCleaner instruction here: http://www.jahewi.nl/ccleaner/ccleaner.html.
Run CCleaner.
2. Turn off System Restore:
- Windows XP:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the My Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click the System Restore tab.
4. Check "Turn off System Restore".
5. Click Apply.
6. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click Yes to do this.
7. Click OK.
- Windows Vista:
1. Click Start.
2. Right-click the Computer icon, and then click Properties.
3. Click on System Protection under the Tasks column on the left side
4. Click on Continue on the "User Account Control" window that pops up
5. Under the System Protection tab, find Available Disks
6. Uncheck the box for any drive you wish to disable system restore on (in most cases, drive "C:")
7. When turning off System Restore, the existing restore points will be deleted. Click "Turn System Restore Off" on the popup window to do this.
8. Click OK
3. Restart computer.
4. Turn System Restore on.
5. Make sure, Windows Updates are current.
6. If any Trojan was listed among your infection(s), make sure, you change all of your important passwords (bank account(s), secured web sites, etc.) immediately!
7. Download, and install WOT (Web OF Trust): http://www.mywot.com/. It'll warn you (in most cases) about dangerous web sites.
8. Read How did I get infected?, With steps so it does not happen again!: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/topic2520.html
9. Let me know, how your computer is doing.
NOTE If you're currently using Norton (Symantec), or McAfee security tools (antivirus/firewall), I strongly recommend switching to some other product, as soon, as your subscription expires.
- To uninstall Norton, always use Norton Removal Tool: http://service1.symantec.com/Support...05033108162039
- To uninstall McAfee, always use McAfee Consumer Product Removal Tool: http://majorgeeks.com/McAfee_Consume...ool_d5420.html
Free alternatives:
1. Firewall - Windows firewall is fine, however it offers only one way protection (inbound). Your personal data is not protected from being sent out. For an excellent two ways firewall, and an antivirus in one package, check:
- COMODO Internet Security: http://www.comodo.com/
- standalone free firewall - - free PC Tools Firewall Plus: http://www.pctools.com/firewall/
2. Antivirus (use only ONE):
- Avast! free antivirus: http://filehippo.com/download_avast_antivirus/
- Avira free antivirus: http://www.free-av.com/en/download/index.html

Great, thanks very much, I really appreciate your help.
Do you want me to load and run CCleaner next?
I'll let you know about the eds directory tomorrow.
