INSTALLING SOLITAIRE ON A NEW LENEVO TABLET?

My new Lenevo runs on XP. My old one is a Motion tablet which ran on XP and had solitaire. On the new Lenevo, they took solitaire and games off as it’s not under entertainment. Also, my old solitaire shortcut I copied over can’t find anything. IT was either never installed or they hid games.

I do have an XP Pro disk from my home PC. Can I use that to install solitaire on my new Lenevo tablet or is there a way of transferring the game file from my old tablet to a flash drive and installing it on my new Lenevo. I searched my old tablet for solitaire and only find the shortcuts…I don’t know what the game file is called.

If anything is possible on getting solitaire on my new Lenevo, I’d appreciate any suggestions. It’s nice to have when someone puts me on hold.

    Thanks,
    Mike

Try->Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs->ADD Windows Components and see if you find games in there.
If you're happy and you know it......it's your meds.

    Look for:
    c:\windows\system32\sol.exe
If it's there, create a shortcut to it on your Desktop. You should also be able to click Start | Run type in sol and press [Enter].

That applet doesn't need installation as such if I remember correctly. Just copy it into your System32 folder in XP and then create a shortcut where you want it. Here's the file from my XP CD (ZIPped attachment below).

It's not in add/remove and the run command didn't find "sol". I don't think they installed it.

So just copy the sol.zip file in System32 and it should install? I have Winzip on the tablet, nothing on this PC...use a flash drive to copy it over.

I just wondered if "my" copy of XP would even install anything on that tablet. This might be easier.

    Thanks!
