Explorer Groups
I have been going thru an issue with Windows Explorer. At times after I select a news group it will open the new group repeadedly and I cannot stop the process.... it goes so fast I cannot close out...... I have to select the reset to stop the process..... I checked for malware, spyware, and nothing shows..........

If you are running Internet Explorer 7, click Tools | Internet Options | Advanced tab | Reset... button | then Reset again. Close Internet Explorer, start it up again and reset your homepage, search provider, etc.

JBH1876--This is what clicking the Reset (not "Restore Defaults") button--recommended by SpywareDr-- will do

P.S. You do mean Internet Explorer and not Windows Explorer.

You are correct, IE6's "Restore Defaults" is not the same as IE7's "Reset".
What program do you have set in IE6 to view Newsgroups? For example, in IE7:
Or, if that's not what you mean, can you give us a link to the site that is causing the problem in your IE6?

Outlook express....... this does not happen all the time.. but for some reason when I select a website it will open and tile repeadedly so fast I cannot stop........ in five seconds it will tile 75 to 80 or more........ at first I thought a virus was involved. AVG, and AdwareSe detected nothing......... Its been three days and it has not occured yet.. maybe its haunted........... TAPS might be next.......

There are a few sites that are written to do that. Mostly pop ups though.
Go to Tools Popup blocker and make sure it in enabled. That stops a bunch of them.
