Depending on video software used, eg. DVD Shrink, ConvertXtoDVD...
    More cores the better.
    Cheers.

SpywareDr are you DrMDJ if not, where is he.??
I like the Rampage, but alas cost to much in Rip-Off Britain...Same as the others.

hi Shimna--I use a few of em, to mention just these---WinAVI Video Converter---Convert XtoDvd---DVDFab Platinum. Shrink is there also.
Also my ProShow Gold and PicturesToExe, for AVIs. PSCS3 Lightroom2
Those are what I use on this PC M2N-SLI Deluxe + 2GB Memory. Although this PC is GOOD for All I do, If I gona buy NEW I was wondering do I spend near £500 n get BETTER or just buy a Board n use for Internet n Office..
That's why I am asking here..It also means I can't buy a New Lens for my DSLR.

No. DrMDJ is (was?) in New Jersey and I'm in Florida. DrMDJ joined in April 22nd, 2000 and I didn't get here until April 27th, 2005. Looks like his last post was May 5th, 2005, 04:37 AM. (Sure hope it wasn't me that chased him off ).

The Intel P35 chipset is probably the best option for entry-level performance; X48 boards are more for the enthusiast.

Here's a comparision of the three using Newegg.com's specs. (Differences are in red):

Sorry I'm late in answering U...
I Hope DRMDJ is fine wherever he is...

Thank You for your Help---I don't need crossfire, or two graphics cards..
so it looks like the "ASUS P5Q" (if n when i say YES!) just gota see if it's got eSATA on rear...Prices are down one week n up the next at moment, so a wait n see is fine by me..
    THANKS.

P.S--Nearly forgot---What's the difference between these>>6 x SATA connectors (red), 2 x Drive Xpert SATA connectors<<<can ALL 8 be used for SINGLE HDD..(NO raid)
