WRT54G won't let webpage resolve username and password.
Ok there is a person that has a verizon DSL account. They use a WRT54G router to do wireless and wired internet in the house. they go to www.kent.edu and attempt to put a username and password in the flasline login area to the right. once the user and pass are in it will not go beyong that. it sits there trying to go to the page and fails. I hooked the one wired computer directly to the modem and it works fine just doesn't work when attached to the wrt54g. I reset it back to factory but still no luck. I had a belkin wireless router and for kicks hooked that up and it worked right away with no problems. I don't like that router because it loses the signal 20' away. So what could be stopping this from working?

Try to update the firmware on router?
That would be one of the first things I would try as it appears it isn't handling security well.

With that said,
I think he was referring to the Belkin Router for the 20 foot signal

My bad.
I am not a fan of Linksys WRT54G series though.
Even with DD-WRT and Tomato firmware.
Personal preference would be DLink DIR-655 due to alot better overall performance.
Cheers.

I have the same router at home and the it worked fine so it appears to be something in their router.
THREADJACK ALERT:
Since I can't find the post I had about sanduskycounty.org problems I'll say that it is resolved and the reason was that too many attempts to enter password in outlook locked the user out. Why/how it locked out the website is beyond me and how it knew from that machine.
