Outlook 2007 - Hyperlinks Open Very Slowly
I am running XP Pro SP3 and Basic Office 2007.
When I click on a hyperlink in Outlook 2007 it opens very slowly. It often takes 30 seconds or more for IE7 to display the web page. If I copy and paste the link to IE7 URL bar it will open immediately.
Has anyone here had the same problem and how did you fix it? No generic fixes please. I tried them all - shut down IE and Outlook add-ins - defrag - checkdisk - clear temp & temp internet files - dump cookies - msconfig running at bare eminimum - cleaned registry with CCleaner and Glary Utilities - no unnecessary services are running - even did Office repair from the installation CDROM. Nothing works.
I am stumped.

Me the same for years!
All hyperlinks from ms office are slow. Word, Outlook, Powerpoint, Excel, what ever. I have accepted it as a normal phenomenon.

I disagree with you. MS Office is not supposed to be so slow that links take more than 30 seconds to open. I have several computers and work on a number of others. On all of them except this particular one links in Outlook open almost imnmediately.
