    Google Desktop Problem

    Over the years I have used Google Desktop successfully, a few days ago a tray icon disappeared and stopped working altogether.

    3 times I uninstalled and re installed it again (once in safe mode with network connection) but it always gives me "Google Desktop did not start successfully"
    message.

    Googled few suggestions nothing seem to work. Have any of you guys had a similar problem please?

    Did you reboot before trying to install?

    Fact is shutdown for 30 seconds, boot up and try the reinstall then.
    Let us know what happens.

    Resolved

    Thank you for your answer Train,
    Only late last night solved the problem.
    I deleted a left over folder in my hard drive=Google Desktop and Google Gadgets folder from My Documents.
    Installed it 4th time and perfect result.
