What file host is easy and free?
Dudes:
A friend needs to send me a large file that I can download from the link provided by the host. Can anyone recommend an easy, free hosting service?
The file is 'legitimate' - an audio file.
Thanks - rev

Most/Many ISPs offer there own members the opportunity to create their own Web Site.
Find out the name of that Server from your ISP and what if anything you need to, if you want to allocate a directory for your Web Site.
Create that directory, THEN FTP THE entire set of files onto that directory.
IF you're concerned about it's content, encrypt it before upoading it.
Share with your friend either the URL or IP of that Web Server, along with the Directory that you FTP'd you stuff to, as well as, any decryption software and password/phrase needed to decrypt the stuff, after your friend uses anonymous FTP to download it.
(Might as well use what's been made available by someone else, rather than playing around with a bunch of stuff you need not do, on your own PC, and to your own Firewall.)
