XP SP 3 don't like compooters

I installed SP3 on my wife's computer tonight. The installation went flawless. I decided to celebrate by going on the Net. Lo and behold, my wireless home network, at least as far as the computer was concerned, did not exist anymore. I tried several times to reestablish the connection, but no go. I even sacrificed a goat and a turtledove, but it still didn't work. Only until I uninstalled the *&^%$ thing did the network (without any coaxing from me) come back on in all its glory.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Microsoft for their in-depth programming to improve XP. If they were in the car business, we would all be paddling them with our feet just like Fred Flintstone.

Something could have gotten changed in your registry. You might try looking up IRPStackSize on microsoft site. It will show you where it should be in the registry. If it's missing it could be the problem and you can add it. Go directly to "Resolution" and ignore the other stuff. I had this problem with a wired network and this fixed it for me. I used the number 25 decimal as a starting point.

Before doing this try your network again and then check "Event Viewer" for errors. This could give you an error number and also connect you to a fix.
