In this case, the ACER gets the thumbs up.
And looks like you will not have to uninstall as much junk either.
Battery life is nice and I have that cpu in my Toshiba. Not the fastest thing, but does the trick for me. I think you will satisfied with it.

So seeing as it has NO CD of Drivers or anything, you would go for it YES...That happens to be the one I prefer...Is it easy to find Drivers for it useing "Driver Detective" and would it be quite easy to find Drivers for XP as I think I'll probably wipe it clean n put my XP pro in it if It is not upto standard...
I've already tried Vista in my desktop, n DON'T Like it, but am willing to try it for awhile in the Laptop....
THANKS Train---Appreciated M8..

Maybe stuck with Vista like I am as I could not find XP drivers for it.
First thing, do make the recovery dvd and do not lose it.
That is until you buy the Vista DVD like I will be doing.
Then hit the Acer site and get the needed drivers.

Thanks Train---That's what I was thinking of doing..
Hearing it from you, it is what I shall now do..
Acer uk has both drivers, XP n Vista, but it takes ten years to download from there n I'm on 20MB cable....Tried last night n gave up. LOL
Cheers M8.
Take Care.

Know someone with a laster setup?
Humm, you are fast enough, but seems ACER servers are old and slow or hit real hard. Try later then.
Your Welcome!

Hi Train---Went for the ASUS F3U..Downloaded XP Drivers, installed XP on a New HDD. All Drivers working (took hours) except the Wi-Fi which is a bit iffy.
So No Wireless connections with this Driver..Says NO Wireless installed...Another program for Wireless says there is one installed but no wireless connections (thats True. lol)
I liked Vista..Did lots of tweaks, uninstalled Nortons n lots of others not needed..It worked a little faster but not as fast as XP...
My 160GB HDD with Vista on will stay in storage until I decide to have a go at putting XP on the other partition..
Cheers for all the Help.
