Spooler Question
Having a problem with the following error. Went to print some statements, and this appeared."Spooler subsystem app failure". Went to Control Panel - printer and faxes.. Nothing is listed.. Both printers are gone..

If the printer was installed after logging in as another user, the printer may only be available for that particular person for that particular Windows session.
If the printer was installed after logging on as administrator, it should continue to be available to all users, no matter who logs on.
I would log on as administrator and Add the printer back if needed, or follow the instructions for installing it that came with the printer.
Open your mind, not your computer.

Reboot did nothing...These printers have been on this computer for over a year with no problems until now..today.. they are not even showing within the control panel anymore ( Printers & Faxes ). When I checked they were there 3 seconds then they were gone........ Tomorrow I will try to add them back... Whole situation is unreal......

Another thing to try is to use System Restore and go back to a point just before the disappearance. May not work but worth a try...

The Spooler Subsystem requires some available disk space to write the spool file for a print job. Do you have available disk space? You haven't specified a read-only drive such as a CD-ROM drive to store the spool file have you? Microsoft does not have an article for that exact message...are you sure that's exactly what the message reported?
The following article may provide some clues.

Try to think if anything was added, subtracted, or changed on the system before you started seeing the problem.

Is this a Vista machine? If so, it appears to be quite a common problem.
