[Home] - Future of XP (Home or Pro) ?

Can anybody give me a heads up on the future of XP (Home or Pro Version) ?
I am thinking of purchasing a new laptop, but the thoughts of Vista isn't pretty. Looking at something that can last at least for 2 more years.

Personally I quite like Vista - it definitely has its faults, but it's nowhere near as bad as a lot of people (many of whom have never even used it) say. But if you really would prefer to stick with XP, it will be supported until at least 2010.

OneBigNewbie--In a couple of months, you may find it difficult to purchase a PC with XP--at least from the mass manufacturers. (That is what MS has recently announced, but things could change.)
Home vs. Pro is strictly a personal choice. It depends on whether you need the features of Pro and how much you are willing to pay. Here are the differences.
