    IIS 6.0 anonymous woes

    hi guys

im running windows server 2003 as a domain controller with iis 6.0 installed.

the default website loads fine. however when i create a 2nd site with a different port no. using the exact same directory security permissions i am asked to authenticate with a password. i am using the IUSR_comname user for anonymous access but it just wont let me access the site anonymously. after i authenticate once it doesnt ask again until i start up a new browser.

i have anonymous access and integrated windows login checked in the iis security properties but regardless of whether i uncheck integrated access i still get the same problem

if i replace the IUSR account with the enterprise admin account in the anonymous authentication box i can connect fine to either site but clearly this is not cool. NTFS permissions are set to full access on the 2nd site for IUSR.

stressing me out now. any help appreciated
