    Exclamation Blue screen of death

Yes...I know we already had a thread like this (2 Blue screens of death) and was very successful, though I STILL dont get how it was fixed. (in other words im attempting to restart the thread o.0)

To summarize, every single time I exit the game Maplestory (though I heard it happens to other games with nProtect a.k.a Gameguard) I receive the BSoD.

The problem is the file "dump_wmimmc.sys" In the other thread, they resolved that is was coming from Gameguard.

    Heres the first question:
Why is the BSoD coming from Gameguard?

    Ok...now it says DRIVER_UNLOADED_WITHOUT_CANCELLING_PENDING_OPERATIONS
    can some1 define that?

again, charolette asked if she should disable BIOS memory options such as caching or shadowing (it said on the BSoD, but nobody answered that question in the previous thread)
if I SHOULD disable it...how? (btw can some1 clearly define caching and shadowing? I'm not a computer specialist...)

the technical information makes the error more distinct:

    STOP: 0x000000CE (0xECB82C5F, 0x00000000, 0xECB82C5F, 0x00000000)

im not sure if you needed that, but just in case

    at the very bottom:

    dump_wmimmc.sys
    Beginning dump of physical memory
    Physical memory dump complete.
    ...................................

PLEASE make this thread as useful as the previous one!!!

    Thanks,
    Sam

A faulty driver or program failed to cancel lookaside lists, DPCs, worker threads, or other such items before unloading.

Caching: Using a buffer within your own computer's fast memory to hold recently accessed data. It is designed to speed up access to the same data later.
    http://www.5starsupport.com/glossary/s.htm
Shadowing: A technique used to increase a computer's speed by using high-speed RAM memory in place of slower ROM memory (RAM is about three times as fast as ROM). On PCs, for example, all code to control hardware devices, such as keyboards, is normally executed in a special ROM chip called the BIOS ROM. However, this chip is slower than the general-purpose RAM that comprises main memory. Many PC manufacturers, therefore, configure their PCs to copy the BIOS code into RAM when the computer boots. The RAM used to hold the BIOS code is called shadow RAM.

This Stop messages indicates that a driver failed to cancel pending operations before exiting.

Stop 0xCE messages can occur after installing faulty drivers or system services. If a driver is listed by name, disable, remove, or roll back that driver to confirm that this resolves the error. If so, contact the manufacturer about a possible update.

Can you forcivly quit the pending operations by Ctrl-Alt-Del then ending process?

If the problem is widespread, whoever created the program needs to figure out where the problem lies within their program and come up with a patch.
