IESpyAds
I had used IESpyAds for years. But then early this year it seemed it was no longer being updated. I have just visited the site again (based on a private message from babbler) and see that there is some activity (or at least was as of August). And a requirement that you now use the ZonedOut tool.

that only works for up to ie6 with sp1 or am i reading it wrong

Yeah, I read that the only supported method will indeed be integrated with ZonedOut. FWIW, the funkytoad apps are pretty good. I use his HostsXpert program to help maintain my HOSTS file...
