[RESOLVED] Can I delete these files?
I've just uninstalled a registry programme called Registry Mechanic (PC Tools) which I've been trying out. I'm now using a free programme called CCleaner which seems fine.
I went thru the Registry Mechanic programme uninstall process, in the Start Menu, successfully and all seems OK, although it left a Desktop shortcut which I've deleted.
But I notice that it has also left 2 files in Program Files\Registry Mechanic\temp. They are: MSCOMCTL.OCX (an ActiveX Control file) and msvbvm60.dll (a Visual Basic Virtual Machine file).
Can I safely delete these 2 files? There are copies of both files in my C:\i386 and C:\Windows\system32 folders. My guess is that I can delete them but I don't want to get rid of them and foul up my system. Your advice will be appreciated. Thanks.
Mike

Whenever a program leaves a Program folder (Program Files\Registry Mechanic\) I do delete them and have never had any problems!

msvbvm60.dll
Your basic Visual Basic Virtual Machine file that can be replaced if needed.
There are programs that do require it.
Examples.

Thanks, I'll delete them and hold copies off my PC and see what happens.
