[RESOLVED] Can't find a driver for monitor and lan cable card
Guys, I can't find a driver for my monitor. It's a Samsung 753DF. I reloaded XP on a Dell Pent 4 PC and the resolution was the largest. I managed to set it to 1024x768 but my colour quality options are only 8 bit.
Also my ethernet card was unknown to XP so I have to use a USB cable to my Internet providers box. What gives here on a Dell GX270 PC ?

You don't need a monitor driver, you need the graphics card driver. Monitor drivers don't control the 8bit color scheme.

If you don't know which one you should get, use Everest on the pc to tell you exactly which Video you have and which NIC you have.

Thx will try. I have everest on my laptop.
Display:
Video Adapter Intel Extreme Graphics 2 when I click I get http://www.intel.com/products/browse/chipsets.htm (page not found)
3D Accelerator Intel Extreme Graphics 2 (also page not found)
Also my MP3's don't play.
Multimedia:
Audio Adapter Intel 82801EB ICH5 - AC'97 Audio Controller [A-2/A-3]
Page not found http://www.intel.com/products/browse/chipsets.htm
Ethernet
Intel 82544XT PRO/1000 MT Desktop Adapter
Now what do I do? I thought XP was smart enough to get this PC running right off the bat.

Go to Dell's website, where I linked to in my first post. Then check which drivers it tells you, you need. You don't get the drivers for a Dell on the motherboard's website.
Audio Driver
Video Driver
Intel NIC driver

I used the info you provided that Everest said your components were, along with going to Dell's support option and clicking on download drivers, was able to find the correct drivers you needed.
Glad to hear all is well now.
