HDD's from Bootdisk
Hi all
Bit confused with this one.
Just built a machine with a C2D E6600 on an Asus P5B Motherboard with 2 Sata HDD's (non raid) and two IDE DVDRW's. All works well with vista installed, but it wont find the HDD's when booted with any sort of CD/DVD except for the Vista install disk. I've tried Acronis true image and Disk director (latest versions) and my own multi purpose boot Cd, all come up with the same error can't find any HDD's. I've installed the latest bios also.
Any help appreciated.

Sounds like your other bootable CD/DVDs may need SATA drivers, (which must be included on the Vista install disk).

I realise that could be a possibility but it's a bit unusual. With Acronis they give you boot cd's that usually work Sata or not.
