Hi
If this is not right please redirect it, i have Nero Essentials 7 on my new system, never used it before, now that i have vista home premium, there seems to be a burn icon on the file pages. I have burned some cd's but no dvd's yet, and in doing so, some burns i just put the cd in and hit burn after the file selections. Do i need use the interface first and select data , etc, depending on what i am burning, or will the files be picked up as data, jpegs, .mov files? I used roxio before and had to go through a process to not add .tmp files, name them as iso etc?
thanks

Burning data CDs/DVDs is exactly the same. Basically choose the files and/or drag and drop them into the interface to burn them. Extremely simple.
A CD iso (or any other CD image like bin/cue etc) can't be directly burned to a DVD as an image.
I've moved this to its own thread as you can see

Native in Vista is a cd and dvd burning capability.
I have not used it, but use NTI which I installed.
Yes to use nero, you have to open the inface and proceed like you did with Roxio.

Thanks for the added info. I partially misunderstood the question.
