Remove grid lines in Excel 2007?

I know you can do it, but is it possible to remove grid lines from just certain rows and columns? How do you do that? I just see a check box that if you un check it, all the grid lines go away not just what is highlighted.

Click on the first cell to remove the gridlines and drag the pointer to the last row and column to highlight all. Right click on the highlighted area. Click on Format Cells from the menu. Click on the Border tab. On presets click on the "None" icon. The selected gridlines will be removed.
