    Sidebar Calculator

    Just done this with my sidebar calculator 1299.30-1129.34. The dumb thing gave me an answer of 1.69960E2, whats that all about

    Well it is correct, so long as you don't mind the answer in scientific notation

    Have a look and see if there is a setting for how it outputs the answer.

    It looks like the display format needs to be changed to eliminate the exponential notation.

    Does anyone elses do the same?

    If you knock off the thousands 299.30-129.34 then the answers correct, reminds me of the Win 3.11 days.

    Right click the sidebar and add gadgets.

    It's there on mine, maybe I did get it online somewhere, you know what my memory's like. Think I'll uninstall it as it's pants. Thanks for looking.

    Found another one that works, the first one must have come from Win3.11

    You're welcome. I just went to the online gadgets site, and calculator is listed as the top download Let's hope there are lots of folks who like scientific notation

    That one works OK, my original one is no longer there. It was mainly black, it looked good, but looks ain't everything
