Hijack Fix?
I have windows XP. I have cable modem. Recently my browser was hijacked. I was not sure until I saw that my homepage was changed. I became suspicious when pages on the internet kept saying they couldn't display or else they would come up, but not completely. And this failure to display had just started out of the blue.
I ran a complete system scan with Norton Anti-virus. I ran Ad-aware. I ran Spybot. Norton told me it couldn't find anything. Ad-aware found a few things and Spybot found a few things. But obviously none of them found the real problem because I am still having trouble with pages displaying.
Is there anything I can do to find the problem? Or do I have to take my computer into the shop and have a tech clean it out to get rid of this malicious program?
Please tell me there is something I can do to find the problem so that I don't have to take it into the shop.

Dr Seven, I'd go to the HijackThis Logfiles forum, read the Sticky: ALL MEMBERS PLEASE READ: Rules for HijackThis forum (Updated on: 30th December 2005) then post a log file. There are experts there that should be able to help you correct the problem.

Dis this happen after updating to IE7 (which you would have got from Windows Update)? It has been causing page not displaying problems for quite a few folks, and also changes the homepage for the first use.
Nick.
