Need help with MSN dial up.
I have an MSN dial up account and when I install the software and setup the account, it will dial up, say authenticating and then it will go to retry in 10 seconds. It doesn't matter what phone number it uses. However if I setup a manual connection, use the username MSN/username and the same password it will authenticate just fine, log on and I can browse the web. This computer isn't mine, I'm trying to help out the person who wants to continue to use MSN software, has anyone had experience with this crappy software? I've tried downloading the software from here http://membercenter.msn.com/download.aspx, I would figure that it should be the newest software but when I installed it, it seemed like it was MSN version 7. Then I downloaded MSN 8 software and the same authentication issue happened, it says authenticating, from there it says it will retry. Is there a direct link I could go to to make sure I'm getting msn version 9 software?

Does the computer meet all the minimum requirements?
Pay close attention to these.
800-MHz or faster processor (MSN Premium and MSN 9 Dial-up) or 500-MHz or faster processor
256 MB or more of RAM (MSN Premium and MSN 9 Dial-up) or 128 MB or more of RAM
