Can't install QuickTime
I'm unable to install QT 7.1, I keep getting an error message saying, "Error 1316.A network error occurred while attempting to read from the file C:\WINDOWS\Installer\QuickTime.msi". There is no file QuickTime.msi hidden or not, within that suggested folder. (It gives this during the Status of copying files.)
I tried to uninstall the previous version or same (not sure which version) and it gives me an error as well, to my knowledge the error maybe the same. I manually removed the program in hopes to fix the installation of QT. Registry has been combed through as well. Any suggestions, Thanks and a Merry Christmas to all...
I'm needing QT so that my 6 year old daughter can play a game...

Christmas came early, I have the issue fixed now. I used Windows Installer CleanUp Utility.

Next time you may want to consider the Quicktime alternative.. much smaller and less obtrusive..
