Kaspersky Personal Security Suite -- Windows & Linux compatible
Has anyone tried the Kaspersky Personal Network Security Suite yet?
This suite provide coverage for a server (Linux or Windows) and 5 workstations (Linux or Windows). The one year subscription is $199 and the two year subscription is $240.
Obviously, if you have a server and 5 workstations and get the 2 year subscription, then the cost per computer per year is only $20.
This suite works with the following:
- XP Home, SP1 or SP2
- XP Professional, SP2
- W2K, SP2 or higher
- NT 4 Workstation
- ME
- 98
- NT 4.0 Server, SP 6a or higher
- W2K Server, W2K Advanced Server, SP 2 or higher
- W2003 Server
- IE 5.5 SP2 or higher
- Email programs -- Microsoft Outlook 2000, 2002, 2003 -- Outlook Express 5.5 or higher
This sounds like a very innovative concept.

I use and very much like the latest version of KIS (as I have older versions) but have not had any reason or opportunity to use this specific network package. I don't see it, from what I"ve read, as being that different functionally from the workstation suite other than pricing so I'd have to say it looks like an excellent deal to me.
